How We Adjust
Your Vertebral Malposition

When it comes to chiropractic techniques, drop table adjustment has enjoyed a rise in popularity among chiropractors and their practice members. The value of an adjustment technique is determined by how effective it corrects a vertebral malposition, and how well it avoids inflaming the practice member.

We do not choose a technique based on how well it makes popping noises. When you pop your knuckles, you don’t think to yourself “Wow, I just put my finger joint back in place!” Joint pops are just gas bubbles released in a joint. Gas bubbles are neither a good thing or bad thing. Instead we focus on the position of vertebrae and using the least amount of force necessary. This often excludes popping noises and is effectively accomplished using drop tables.

A drop table adjustment involves a specialized chiropractic table that has segments that can be gently lowered (or “dropped”) when a specific amount of force is applied. This controlled motion assists the chiropractor in adjusting the patient’s spine or joints more precisely. The “drop” refers to the slight, quick movement of the table that facilitates the realignment of the vertebrae, making it easier for the chiropractor to apply focused adjustments without causing any discomfort or strain.

Integrating specialized tables designed with the ability to target every region of the spine allow chiropractors to maximize benefits.

By utilizing this unique table, chiropractors can provide focused and specific adjustments tailored to each member’s specific stresses and individual malpositions. The controlled movements of the drop table allow for precise targeting of malpositioned areas in the spine, helping to restore nerve supply and tissue function.

During a drop table adjustment, the chiropractor would position you on the table and activate specific sections that correspond to the misaligned vertebrae. As these sections drop, the doctor creates a gentle force that helps reposition the vertebrae into their proper alignment. This process not only restores position of vertebral bones, but also re-connects the neural circuits traveling though the pathways between and through the bones.

Key Benefits of Drop Table Adjusting Include:

  • Precise Targeting: The drop table allows chiropractors to precisely focus on specific vertebrae, ensuring accurate and targeted adjustments.

  • Individualized Tension: The tension settings of the drop table can be customized according to each patient’s needs, ensuring a comfortable yet effective adjustment.

  • Reduced Force: The controlled movements of the drop table allow chiropractors to apply less force during adjustments, making it suitable for patients of varying ages and conditions.

How long does our adjustment take? Similar to the length of time it takes to turn off or on a light switch. Yet the impact of a vertebral bone correctly positioned and maintained over time can be as far reaching as the nervous system itself.
